Home services are offered to Nelson County residents and fringe bordering
counties through a branch agency of Altru Home Services of Grand Forks. With
one phone call, Home Services can assess the patient and their family needs,
communicate with the physician and set up needed services or home visits.
An initial home visit may be done to evaluate the situation if the needs are
uncertain which can be done at no charge to the patient.
If the criteria for coverage are met, Home Services are covered by Medicare,
Medicaid and most insurances.
Home Care: Skilled nurses, aides, PT, OT, and Speech Therapists, and a Medical
Social Worker are available for services which include
machines, oxygen set up and training, and equipment for home oxygen use.
